We belief that part of being an active participant of this community is finding where we can serve. Each person has gifts and talents that are given by God to help advance His kingdom here on earth. Some people can quickly identify them while others struggle to know where they can best serve. Take some time and look through the ministries below that [lcf] offers. Pray and ask God where He would have you serve. One of the best things you can do to grow in your faith is begin to serve and put your gifts into practice.
Each ministry has a contact person whether it be a student or staff to help answer any questions you may have about these various opportunities. Please contact us through the contact page we can help and specify which team you would like to serve with in any way.
Connections Team (Ashley McHaney & Alissa Gay) – help be the friendly faces and smiles that people encounter throughout our Sunday Gathering through handing out tshirts, blue cards, helping with setting up and tearing down, working the Connections Table after the Gathering to help collect blue cards and be available for any questions students may have. These students are personable, friendly, and are willing to assist with anything the Gathering may throw at us.
Prayer Team (Lindsey Sullivan) – pray on sundays with people, pray throughout the week for needs, be a part of our prayer session once a month. If you find yourself passionate about prayer or if you want to learn more about prayer and want to help in this way please contact us.
Music Ministry (Jonah Bostian) – the [lcf] band is constantly looking to expand to help train and equip new musicians as well as those who help with the technical side. If you can play an instrument, sing, or want to help with sound, lighting, and slides we would love to have you serve in this ministry.
Media Team (Tommy Clark and Brian Wilcox) – graphic design, video editing and shooting, website, etc. Some of these students are Communications or Art majors, but not all. If you have any kind of creative gifting in this area then we would love to add you to this team.
Office Administration (Philip Watkins) – help with the organization and administration of [lcf] so we can be more efficient. These kinds of people are typically huge into organization, administrative skills, etc. It doesn’t hurt that you get to tell Philip and Jonah how to be more organized.
Service Coordinator (Philip Watkins) – helping to be the bridge between service opportunities and the [home groups]. [lcf] is looking to really get involved locally in a variety of serve opportunities. Because of the huge task this is already for [home group] leaders we need someone who is passionate about serving to help coordinate [lcf] to the various community partners and serve locations.
Event Planning Team (Landen Braxton) – helping plan and organize events throughout the year such as Freshman Mixer, Fall Retreat, Christmas Party, Spring Retreat, Relay for Life, etc. This team is a mix of creative minds as well as those good with the small details so that we can have the best experiences at all [lcf] events.
Creative Team (Jonah Bostian) – creatively thinking through ways we can improve our Sunday Gatherings, object lessons, visuals, etc. This team meets once a week to go over the previous Gathering as well as the upcoming one. If you have a creative mind and want to help us improve in this way then let us know.
